STUDIO Z

With the ambition of activating an infrastructure that touches upon Bonification, “Crash Crack Crunch” is a park hosting research, education, and artistic creation based on soil. The design is interested in discovering the friction between these programs, and ongoing muddy activities when engaging with soil exploration.

Our team initially approached the topic designing a tourist map of Maremma, and a postcard of conceptual souvenir store. Our intention is to reconnect the abandon industries with Maremma’s present tourism. The last slide is a rendering of our design project, suggesting a temporality of the scene's identity.

The slideshow presents the design zooming into individual architecture. Accordingly, they are: geothermal power plants combines with soil museum, research laboratory connecting to a railway for gantry cranes, and artist residency.

Thanks to the critic team who gave us incredible feedbacks. Special thanks to Professor Daniele Profeta, our studio instructor, for the passionate teaching and guidance to our design.
